About RavenEye
We're building the future of sail trim analytics—combining computer vision, real-time data, and a deep love for the sport to help racing teams sail faster.
The Story Behind RavenEye
RavenEye was born from a simple observation: sailors have incredible intuition about sail trim, but we lack the quantitative feedback that transforms good instincts into consistent performance.
As a computer science engineer and lifelong sailor, I spent years watching racing teams struggle to communicate trim changes across the boat. The trimmer feels something. The driver sees something. The tactician wants data. But nobody has the same picture.
I started building RavenEye to bridge that gap—using computer vision to see what the human eye can't precisely measure, and delivering it in real-time to the entire crew.
Built for sailors by a sailor. That's not just our tagline—it's how we approach every design decision.

The Name: Huginn & Muninn
In Norse mythology, Odin is accompanied by two ravens: Huginn (Thought) and Muninn (Memory). Every day they fly across the nine worlds, observing everything, then return to perch on Odin's shoulders and whisper what they've seen.
Odin worries about Huginn not returning—but his concern for Muninn, the keeper of memory, is even greater. Without memory, wisdom cannot accumulate.
RavenEye's two cameras are our Huginn and Muninn.
They watch your mainsail from different angles, capturing what no single perspective could reveal. One sees the current trim—thought. The other remembers what was fast—memory. Together, they whisper the secrets of sail shape to you.
Every frame they capture builds your team's memory of fast. Every metric displayed is wisdom earned from thousands of observations.
